Sept.,Oct., and Early Nov.

Here are a few pictures from the last couple months!

Simon and his Teacher

Nixon and his Teacher

Vans sponsored an event here and put on a great show!

Clay Guida (MMA fighter) was here for the same event as the Vans guys.

Simon turned 11! He had a Cosmic Bowling party with a Minecraft theme.

They had fun dancing to videos.

Can't believe he is 11!

GTMO Pumpkin Patch Time

Such strong muscles!
It was very hot out this year so it was a race to see who could pick their pumpkin the fastest and get back to the car LOL!

Piper enjoyed taking part in the carving!

And Tucker did too!
What's Halloween without Black Cats!

All carved.  Mine usually ends up the cute one but Tim beat me for that this year his was adorable with little horns and feet!

All lit up!  Paige likes Batman and it was tricky but she pulled it off.

Trunk or Treat Family picture.  They had all kinds of vehicles decorate and park at the Lyceum parking lot and held costume contests and the kids got to go around and get candy from all the cars.  It was fun.

Happy Halloween! Nixon was a Ghostbuster, Tim Baseball player, Simon Steve from Minecraft, Paige Harley Quinn from Batman and I was just a mix of pieces of all my different costumes over the years.  The kids are getting older so it was just Tim, Nixon and I trick or treating together.  Paige was off with her friends making the rounds and Simon was off with his.

Sizing up the loot LOL.

Nixon got to sing in the Veteran's day ceremony at school and for the troops over in the camps. He did awesome. His class sang all 50 states in alphabetical order and I have to say it was impressive!

Well that brings us up to date!  We hope this finds you doing well!

Oh WAIT Tim just told me we got our orders we will be moving to Atlantic Beach (area) North Carolina this summer!!

End of Summer begining of school 2013

Summer came to an end and school started.  Here are some pictures of our last few weeks of summer break and then the start of school.  All 3 kids like their teachers and had a great first week last week!

Before I forget we have an update or an add on to our mailing address.  Everything stays the same but after the zip code you need to add -0001.  If you forget to add it stuff should still get to us it just may take a bit longer.

Tim BBQing at the beach for his office.  Ribs and Chicken

Nixon and I took Dad and Simon to Pebble Beach and the boys had a blast jumping waves and then getting tossed all around on their body boards.

Nixon always finds the coolest little spots at the beaches.  This was a little pool only a foot deep or so but the waves came crashing in.

They built a new Splash Pad for the kids of GTMO.  Great alternative to the pool and if you have little ones.

Nixon took part in a long time GTMO tradition of jumping off the dock when someone leaves.  This was for the school Vice Principle Mrs. Lewis who is greatly missed!

First day of 8th grade!

First day of 5th grade!

First day of 2nd grade!

Ready for school.  I realized this is the last year Simon and Nixon will be at the same school until Simon is a senior in high school.  :-( If we were staying here it wouldn't be since the middle and high are together.  It also means Simon and Paige won't be at the same school til she is a senior.  :-(  They are growing up too fast.

Hope those of you who are starting school right now or in the next week have as great a first week as we did and get as good teacher as we did!

40 40 40

This post will bring us to date!!

Tim turned 40 this last week.  Some people struggle with turning 40, but Tim and I are actually looking forward to our 40's. We had a nice day.  He took the day off work and he wanted to just have a nice relaxing day at home and that's what we did.  We made him cinnamon rolls for breakfast and steak and crab legs for dinner.  Of course I made him his lemon cake and chex mix.  We ended the day with going to a movie.  Tomorrow (Sunday) we are having an office BBQ at one of the beaches to celebrate the Coast Guards birthday and Tim's.

Yummy Chex Mix
Funny thing is Tucker our boy cat is the only one Tim will share it with.  I guess he ranks higher than me and the kids LOL.

We got him a pillow for our hammock.  He always takes our throw pillows out there so when I found this online I was pretty excited.

We also had a coin holder made for him.  In the military you receive coins that you earn or are given and collect.  Most people display them in their offices.  I had one made and had Semper Paratus put on the bottom of it (The CG Moto, it means always ready).

Silly Face birthday picture

Steak and Crab Legs for dinner.

I forgot to add this one earlier.  In June we went tot he Army Ball.

Catch Up Time post 3

The Coast Guard Ship The Eagle was here. We have always wanted to see this ship.

The boys got coins

It has a great feel to it almost like you are on a Pirate ship

Simon being silly

Simon ended the year on the A B Honor Roll

Father's Day silly pose

Cast number 2 went for black for the last 3.

We went on a boat and down the river with friends. The Seefeldts and the Alexanders, both have moved and we miss them.  One to WA state the other to Germany!

So this is the end of the River well not the end but as far as we can go.  We expected a bigger bridge and more warning of not to go past.  It was a nice relaxing ride out there.

This is the little sign posted on the middle of the bridge to let you know not to go any farther.

4th of July concert then fire works.  Amazing fire works here.  Honestly the best we have seen anywhere.

Paige and Mom at the concert.
I should mention Paige finished the year with a 4.0!

Nixon found a way to still go to the beach even with a cast on!  Tim lifted him up into this rock and it had a little pool in the top.

Nixon called it his hot tub. Ahhh This is the life!
I think this is cast number 3 a short one finally.

This is our buddy Spike.  He lives across the street in the brush.  He comes over and eats the mangos that fall in the yard next to us.  This was after he just shook one to pieces.  He gets it all over himself.  He also loves carrots.  He will now come over when we call him.  I think he is so cute!

Nixon and I were bored one Sunday afternoon.  Nobody else wanted to go so we took off to find this beach we had never been to, pebble beach.  You get to it by a path from another beach.

There is a huge Banyan Tree here kind of hidden that a friend told us about so we checked it out on the way home.  Love the tire swing!

We took Simon back to the tree later so he could enjoy the tire swing too.

The tree is huge this is only part of it.  Reminded me of the one in Maui although that one is bigger and covers more area of course.

Tim and I started out our morning at Girl Scout Beach with a cup of coffee and watched the waves.  He had the day off so we got up early and went.  By 9:30 you loose all the shade.  This beach has big pieces of sea glass and tons of it.

Well that brings us almost all the way to date.  It's 2am so I need to head to bed.  Internet works a tad faster in the wee hours LOL.  I may add a few more tomorrow!  Hope you are all having a great summer.
