Almost Christmas

It's getting close to Christmas so I figured I better do a post of some of the fun stuff we have been doing lately leading up to Christmas!

We went to the Chief's Initiation Dinner

We got snow at our house!

Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's Sledding behind a truck!

Simon was sworn in and took an oath for his role in being the House of Representatives for his class.

This years Christmas Santa Picture!

Picking our our giant tree! Funny note it was in the exact same spot as the tree we picked last year!

Biggest one we have ever had 10ft tall. It took a ladder to do the lights and decorate the top! I think we ended up with 2000 lights or so.

Tada all decorated.

Aren't they cute I just love this picture.

Looking at Clam Lights with our friends Wayne and Elisa.

They also took us to Garden d'lights in Bellevue. Amazing! They create a huge garden out of lights. I can't even explain it but it's incredible.

We spent the weekend in downtown Seattle with our cousins and got to see all the fun stuff and ride the carousel and see the mall that snows. This was the gingerbread house in the lobby of our hotel.

Nixon's first Christmas Program. He looked so cute when he saw where we were sitting and waved at us. This is as they were walking up to the stage.

Tim's work Christmas Party Santa came to visit and pass out gifts to the kids.

We hope you have a blessed Christmas Season and New Years. I will post more soon or right after Christmas!

Happy Halloween 2010

We had a fun Halloween with family and friends. Here are some photos of our fun time from carving our pumpkins to trick or treating!

Picking out our pumpkins!

Nixon found his first!

Then Simon. Check out how thick that stem is!

Then Paige found hers. Looked smaller outside and a lot bigger when we got it home!

Carved and ready to display!

All lit up!

Paige is Medusa who turned me into a stone statue. Nixon is a police officer and Tim and Simon are Ghostbusters!

Ready to Trick or Treat with our cousins, a cute Genie and Firefighter!

Check this awesome bunch out. Medusa, statue, 2 Ghostbusters, police man, genie, 2 70's disco dancers and a firefighter! Watch out neighborhood here we come!

Paige's best friend joined us to Trick or Treat too she was dressed as a baby.

This is what happens if you look Medusa in the eyes. She turns you to stone!

Simon's 8th Birthday and other Fun!

SIMON TURNS 8!!

Well our boy turned 8! I can not believe our first son is 8. He is growing up to be such a sweet young man. We celebrated on his actual birthday night at a Mexican restaurant with his Grandparents and Great Grandparents. Simon was totally surprised when the waiters came out and put a sombrero on his head and sang Happy Birthday to him in Spanish then in English. Then the next day we had a fun time at a roller skating party for him. He loved it and kept telling us this was the best birthday ever. He was so appreciative of the fun roller skating and his friends and family coming. Not to mentioned he loved every gift he got. Thank you all who helped us celebrate Simon! Here are some fun pictures!

The Birthday Boy!

He loves Roller Skating! Isn't he cute? Such a little image of his Dad!

Party time. Poor Nixon wasn't feeling well. Half way through the party he started crying his ear hurt. After the party was over I rushed him to the doctors and he had an ear infection. But thanks to meds he was pain free the next day!

Blowing out his candles! He had a Transformers cake with a real mask on it!

His cousins and friends helped us celebrate!

Opening gifts, always fun!

Paige and her best friend. Simon was so sweet all on his own he invited Mackenzie to his party.

My Grandparents came for the fun. It is always so nice to get to visit with them!

Simon is maturing so fast and we are proud of the young man he is growing into. He was so sweet he knew his little brother wasn't feeling well and they both have been asking for these new toys called mighty beans. Simon got some for his birthday and when we got home from the doctors Simon gave Nixon some of his mighty beans he had gotten. On a side note Nixon has carried that thing around with him for 2 days now day and night. Oh yes it has been to bed with him. It sits by him whatever he is doing. Then Paige was also having a rough time not feeling well and he gave her one of the puffles he got. A puffle goes to club penguin. Such a sweet boy sharing the gifts he got with his brother and sissy who weren't feeling well. He really is a giver. He always thinks of others first.

Some other fun times recently.......

Multicultural Night at the kids' school

Simon and Dad by Simon's art project he did for the night.

Paige and Mom by her project. She drew the picture that is by her head.

At the end of the night they drew one name to win a $25 gift card to World Market and Paige won. She turned so red and was so shocked when they called her name. It was cute to watch her process it all.

Remlinger Farm Preschool Field trip for Nixon's class

Getting ready to go in and tour all the fun things!

Our little Farmer, as Grandpa would say.

Riding the Train!!

Our little Pumpkin.
It was a fun trip. We got to go on a tour of an old village, sing songs in the theater, get a lesson from a bee keeper, go on a hay trampoline and go through a hay maze, and ride the train. And of course at the end we got to pick out a pumpkin to take home.

I will post again soon. We are going to get our pumpkins this week then it's Halloween!

He's Home!!

Tim got home two weeks early!! He surprised the kids. They had no idea he was coming home. I only found out the day of! It was late at night, but I let them stay up because school was a late start the next day or at least that's why they thought they were still up. He rang the doorbell and the kids actually got worried because it was so late. So they wouldn't go to the door so I opened the door and he ran in and I thought Paige's eyes were going to pop out of her head. She screamed Dad and jumped in his arms. The way her face lit up was so awesome to see. True pure joy and happiness. Simon flew off the couch and into his arms. Nixon was just shocked Tim was here. Simon kept asking if he was dreaming or if Dad was really here. He asked me if he closed his eyes if he would still be here when he opened them.

We took the next week off school and work and went to a Mariner's game and to the Beach for a week just to hang as a family. It was an awesome week and we had sunshine all the way up til the last day! Here are some fun pictures of it all.

Thanks to all of you who have been supporting us while he was gone we appreciate it all. Hopefully next year we can have him home more rather than gone 6 months of the year! No matter what we are so thankful he is home now and that we got to have him back 2 weeks early!
I just realized as I am posting this he was supposed be down there until today! He got home on Sept. 30th.

Pacific Beach WA
Of course I waited to take a family pic til the last day the one day we didn't have sunshine! haha

Safeco Field

Mariner's Game

At the Beach

Paige's sandcastle

This was the first cottage we stayed in then after 3 days we moved to a bigger one across the street. Way bigger and a lot less money because it didn't have as much of an ocean view.
Both were wonderful.

This was the second one we stayed at.

It was next to the playground. Good catch Simon. He totally caught Paige as she let go.

The second place we stayed at was a tri level and one night I couldn't find Nixon. After looking everywhere I noticed his bedspread was down over the side of his bed. I found him with candy playing the iPad under his bunk bed! Sneaky!

There is a cute little coffee snack shop across the street. The kids were having root beer floats!

They show a movie every night in the theater but during the day they will let you check out a movie and watch it so we had the movie theater all to ourselves. The kids just loved it.

Thanks for checking in on us. I will be posting more often now with Simon's Birthday coming up this Friday and with Halloween and the Holidays coming!
