 Summer Time

We celebrated our 27th anniversary this year. We stopped at the MGM in National Harbor to check out their summer display.

We then headed across over to National Harbor for dinner with a nice view of the water.

Grandma and Grandpa visit

Mom and Larry flew out for Simon's graduation and spent a couple weeks with us.

First drink with Paige now that she is 21!

So nice to all be together for a family dinner.

We went to Arlington National Cemetary and made sure to stop at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The cemetery is huge so we took the tram around.  Some gorgeous views of DC from there.

We were waiting for Josh and Larry to catch up to the tram spot and they came around the corner like this LOL! They switched spots which explains why we lost them for a minute lol.

MGM in National Harbor

Mom and Larry's happy place lol, the casino!  Larry was enjoying showing Paige how to do the slot machine.

Look at this cat!

Out to dinner at a local German resturant.

Gotta get a pretzel of course!

When you order a beer at the German restaurant and say sure to the large. LOL.  I had to use both hands just to lift it!

Quantico Marine Corp Museum

Paige was supposed to be studying abroad in France this summer, unfortunately, this was a close as she was going to get.

After Grandpa begged us to stop at the ice cream place every day when we drove by it we finally did!
This picture sums Grandpa up perfectly!  We love you Larry!

Took them to the White House.

Mount Vernon, The home of George Washington,

Father's Day

So sad to drop them off at the airport to go home.  Mom picked up a beautiful new suitcase and backpack while she was here!

4th of July.  We sat out in our driveway and watched all the neighborhood fireworks.  It sounded like a war zone with stuff in all directions.

Due to Covid, Paige's travel abroad trip to France was canceled and her classes ended up virtual.  She came and stayed 3 weeks with us to finish up her classes that were very early in the morning due to it being in France.
We  took a day trip to Annapolis Maryland

Had some yummy food and drinks

This was as close to Paris as she was going to get this year :(

Taste of France

Crepes

We bought some French wine in Annapolis and bought some French cheese and enjoyed a snack

Paige took Nixon on a road trip through Texas and New Mexico.  This was White Sands New Mexico.  They also stopped at a few famous gravesites. Buddy Holly, Bonnie and Clyde, Billy the Kid,  and Dennis Hopper.

One of their stops was Roswell New Mexico.

While Nixon was on the trip with them Simon was in TN visiting a good friend so Tim and I had the house to ourselves for the first time ever.

For Tim's birthday and childless lol, we drove up to the third largest mall in the US in Pennsylvania.  We were amazed by how big it is.  It was absolutely Huge!

While there we found a restaurant we have been searching for for about 18 years.  We ate at one many years ago when we were in Colorado and have looked for another one ever since.

Tim officially graduated with his Bachelor's in Business Management in Feburay but the commencement was held in July.  So proud of him and all the hard work he put in.  He kept going through a move, his very busy job here, and a pandemic.

Simon's Graduation

 Simon's Graduation

June 12th, 2021

Our Senior, Class of 2021

The mandatory pose for the yearbook!
The night before graduation.  They put pictures of all the kids lining the parking lots.

They also had a big sign in the field.

Getting ready early in the morning!

It looked like it was going to rain but didn't!  It was also much better than sitting in the crazy hot summer sun!  Paige and Josh came up for a visit for the big day!

Grandma and Grandpa (Tim's parents) also flew out for a visit to celebrate Simon with us!

Pretty cool what they did with the scoreboard!

Walking out!  He is just behind the 20-yard line (Grey pants)

Almost to their seats.  He is the one in the middle behind the girl with the white stole.

There is our guy!  So proud of you Simon!

Thanks to live-streaming the event we still got to see him up close even though we were seated far away.  Thank you to Brook who watched it all the way across the United States and snapped this awesome pic for me!

Love that big smile!

They did it!  High school is now in the books!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming out to support him!

The Graduate!

These two always take such funny "serious" pictures.

Siblings!

So glad we could all be together for Simon's big day!

Proud Parents!

A true Paige picture lol!

Perfectly color coordinated!

I love this picture of Tim and Larry!

Not often do we get to take a whole family picture!

Time for some red velvet cake!

Opening a weight bench he got as a gift!
Graduation dinner at Umi's Japanese Restaurant with family and friends.

This proud Mama had to sneak in one last pic of her and her son for the day!  It was not an easy year at all.  To be honest he didn't get a "Senior" year.  He had to stay virtual the entire year and only stepped foot in the school 1 day and that was at the end to turn in his Chromebook.  They even changed graduation plans 3 times and only decided right before to let them all graduate together in one ceremony. Not going to lie, it was a struggle.  But he did it!  The class of 2021 will be one in the history books.  We love you Simon!
