June Summer Fun

We are having a great start to summer especially now that Tim is home. He was out of town for work the first two weeks the kids were out of school but now we have him back!!
Enjoying breakfast for dinner on the deck! That was before the heat kicked in and got too hot to sit outside for dinner :)
We love our pool. So gonna miss this neighborhood when we leave. Where our house is, is just perfect, we can walk right to the pool.
So we had a crazy hot humid day and Nixon and I were walking back from the pool and an ice cream truck saved the day!! Thankfully they had non dairy treats too so Nixon could enjoy!
Simon has his first "job". A good friend down the street has hired him to mow her lawn twice a month.

Atlantic beach has free movies every Wednesday night, the kids and I discovered while Tim was gone. The kids and I went to Hook and then now that Tim is home we went again and saw Jurassic Park!

It's pretty awesome to sit and watch a movie with your feet in the sand, nice warm breeze, and with the sound of the ocean off in the distance.

Funny note: one week they will be showing Jaws, yeah won't be doing that one lol. Not sure that's one that will keep your people coming back to the beach especially with the 6 shark attacks/bites off the NC coast in the last few weeks. No thank you! None of them have been at our beaches thankfully.

Simon advanced to Purple belt!

Tim got home the day before Father's Day. He had a not so fun time getting home so we planned a nice relaxing day for him.
He was supposed to get home Friday but after sitting at an airport for 6 hours his flight got delayed by 2 hours at the last minute which made him miss his connecting flight by 8 mins. So he got stuck in Charolette over night with no available seats for days afterwards so instead of flying in to the airport 40 mins away he flew in and hour and a half away. The next day. But we got him home and at that point that was all that mattered!!

We are also crabbing off our docks.  It's been pretty fun to walk down each day and check our pot for blue crabs! That was our first one but he was too small we had to let him go.

More fun time at the pool!

Look who is driving!! She completed Driver's Ed and went down to DMV took the test and tada she now has her learner's permit!!

Who needs weights or resistance bands when you have a 20lbs cat you can use LOL! I love you Tucker!
