Moving weeks

Simon's youth leader had a going away video game night with the guys for Simon.

Our last weekend in Beaufort we took the ferry across to Shackleford Banks island to see the Spanish wild horses and enjoy the beach and collected shells.
On the ferry
We got lucky the horses were right there for about a half hour. Some people have to hike miles to see them but we got lucky they were right there!

The boys enjoyed this body of water it had fish and crabs and tadpoles all over. All was well til one big crab decided to charge them lol!
We climbed up and over some dunes to get to the other side.
That's Simon way down there
Beautiful views all around

Played in the waves and collected shells on that side
So pretty
Back to the other side to play in the ocean til the ferry came back.
Back on the boat
Nixon loves being on boats and water!

Boxes Galore!
Empty shelves and everything boxed up! They left us our beds and TV til the very last morning.
Strange to see all your belongs packed like Tetris in the back of a truck! I had to zoom in to get this picture our stuff only filled about a third of the truck.
One last dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Beaufort, Old Salt.
And one last walk down the boardwalk!

The next day into the car for a 14 hour drive straight! All packed and ready to go.
I drove the Expdeition with Paige,Nixon, and the two cats!  Tim and Simon drove the Honda.
Piper fell asleep on Nixon's lap for a while. She was drowsy, she gets car sick so we had to drug her twice on the trip.

Oh look those boxes are now getting emptied! I should have taken this earlier this was only a third of the pile. This was what was left after they took what they could away when they left. And then there were still some not unpacked yet. I will post pics of our new house once we have everything squared away!

Can you say EWWW! Tim has been working hard on cleaning the pool for a good four or five days at this point. All of us he has put to work in there! Shouldn't be too much longer.

Happy 4th of July! We had a great time at Phyllis and Tom's house. Their family adopted us right in. They are the couple that are good friends of my Grandparents that I met when I was out there when my Mom passed. They have a huge family. Phyllis' Mom lives with them and then she is one of 6 siblings and all were there with their families. They all treated us like family. Then on the way home we stopped at a park and watched the Munford fireworks.

I will do another post once everything is put together in the new house so you can see where we live. :)
