Where did you eat dinner last night???

We had dinner in a huge old stump of an old redwood tree! Daddy got home from work and with him brought a picnic dinner. He took us up to a park that has a redwood forest in the middle of it with a bunch of beautiful hiking trails. It was in Arcata up by the university a little North of Eureka. So we went hiking and on "adventures" as the kids say. We picked out the perfect sticks for hiking sticks and found bananna slugs, one of Paige's favorite things to hunt for. We also searched all the clover for a 4 leaf one but never did see one but the hunting sure was fun. Half way through our adventure Daddy spotted this stump which had just the right amount of spots to sit on for us to have dinner. It was a fun time for all of us and the weather was incredible, sunny and the trees blocked any wind so it was just right. It was nice to get out in the fresh air.
