Maui Summer 2011 was an incredible trip! We really enjoyed it and liked the slow pace of life there. All the touristy stuff was cool too but we really liked the daily life there that was just relaxed and not rushed. I (Angela) love warm weather!! The kids really liked it there. My Father in law hated it and is still complaining but he is out numbered the rest of us loved it.
Here are just a snap shot of all the pictures I took!
Simon loved the body board and had a blast!
Nixon is always happy to bury himself in the sand!
Mai Tai at Mai Tai's
We went on a submarine which the kids absolutely loved! It was a great experience for them.
Inside the sub.

Paige and Mom really enjoyed going out and relaxing on the body boards together!

Of course Paige found a giant snail. She enjoyed all the snails and geckos and cats in Maui!

Grandpa and Tim did a zipline!!

We spent a lot of time in the ocean!
Ka'anapali board walk.
Yummy Shave Ice, Wow was it good!
More beach time!!
Paige and Mom went horseback riding! It was amazing. Paige rode Cavalier and Mom rode Gimmie 5.
It was 2 hours and here we are at the top of a bluff and we can see the whole entire side of Maui from one end to the other. It was amazing!
Next up:
7 sacred pools after Hana
My crazy family is daring enough to jump off cliffs into water!!! All except me (Angela) that is!
Nixon going for it!
Simon going for it!!
And Paige going for it!!
This was Tim's number 1 thing on his list to do in Maui!
It was so much fun to swim in the pools by waterfalls.
Tim and I went to dinner just the two of us one night! We ate at... get ready for it:
Humuhumunukunukuapua’a
On the road to Hana. They had the best coconut candy here!!
Grandpa got him and the boys matching shirts! Aren't they so cute?!
Our First waterfall on the way to Hana!
We drove all the way around and found this spot past Hana. Always fun to toss rocks into the roaring ocean!!
Paige buried her brothers in the sand! This is Big Beach!!
I would say Big Beach was our favorite the sand was so soft and amazing like no others.
This was early in the morning out snorkeling and body boarding.
The Banyan Tree in Lahiana.
We went to a Luau!! Don't they look handsome?!
Tim and Angela-married 17 years!!
The kids loved the Luau, it was one of their favorite things we did.
Aloha
This was driving around the "head" of Maui.
Maui Tropical Plantation. They have beautiful gardens with so many colors!
Gorgeous plants and kids!
They had a tram that takes you through all the different things they grow there. This was the biggest hit with the kids and probably the cheapest thing on the island to do!
Angie and Lynne at the beach!
Ahhhh Maui what could be better?!!!!
I took probably 400 photos or something crazy like that but those were just some of the highlights. Thanks for looking and I will update again in a couple days and try to finish up summer and then the start of school!
