Portland Trip, First week of March 2020

Portland, Oregon Trip

My Aunt Pam, my Mom's sister, flew me out for the first week of March for the 4th anniversary of my Mom's passing.  I can't believe it has already been 4 years. It was nice to spend that time with my Aunt. I was able to visit family I haven't seen in years.  Most of whom I haven't seen since my Mom passed or longer. It was the week COVID first hit and WA and OR had their first cases.  Had the trip been planned just a week or 2 later it probably would not have happened.  I am very thankful to have gotten that visit before 2020 took its turn for whatever you want to call 2020.

My Auntie Pam

My cousin Zach and his wife came up from San Fransico for a few days so I was able to see them too!  My other cousin Noel I saw for a brief time but then his house ended up getting a cold and I didn't get to see them again and never got a picture.

We had a nice day out touring a couple of my Aunt Pam's favorite wineries.

I got to spend a few days and nights with my Grammy!  I love spending time with her.  Being at her house is being home!

My Dad and Pat came and stayed for a few days with us!

It was so nice to get to see my Dad and Pat.

We had lunch with my Grammy's older sister Arlius.  It's always a bonus to get to see her during a visit.

I also got to see my Grammy's younger brother Uncle Don and Maxine.

My Dad and Me.  We spent a day going around to some of his childhood places he went to as a kid.  This was Mt. Tabor Park.

This was Laurelhurst Park.  I think!

Had such a fun visit with my cousin Aaron whom I hadn't seen since we were about 20 years old!  It was so fun to visit with him and catch up.

Michael was so sweet to stop by for a quick visit in the midst of his busy schedule.  Technically he is my Dad's cousin but we are closer in age.

Had such a great time with my Dad and Pat!  It was so hard to say goodbye.

Tim's parents, Mom and Larry, were so sweet and drove down and stayed a couple nights so they could see me for one day!

I finally made it to VooDoo Donuts in downtown Portland.  Have to admit I felt bad not having Tim and the kids with me since we tried many times to go there in the past but the lines were insane.  The Maple Bacon was amazing!

Gotta have your coffee in the Pacific Northwest!

I was able to have a nice dinner and lunch with them while they were there.

My Auntie Pam

Thank you Auntie Pam for the treat of coming out there.  It was a quick whirlwind trip and I am thankful to all who I got to squeeze in visits with. Sorry to those that I had to miss.
Wow, if I only knew then that a week later things would turn into a Pandemic and 2020 would be what it has been.
