January and February 2020

The little bit of snow we did get this year!

Tim and I enjoyed just walking around D.C. on the weekends (Before Covid days anyways)

We went up to Annapolis MD for a day!  Went to the Naval Academy and walked around town.  Cute little waterfront town.

The building in the background is the oldest Capitol building in use today.

Nixon loves Nasa and anything space. We took him to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly VA.  There are two Air and Space Museums one in Downtown D.C. the other in Chantilly.

This one we were surprised and he was excited to see has the Discovery Shuttle.

It was amazing!

Another weekend we stopped at the Hirshhorn Museum in D.C.  It's contemporary art. 

We walked around for a bit and stopped at a few places.  This is the Smithsonian Castle Information Center.
As we were walking around we saw a show for Showtime being filmed and they had "The Beast" (The President's limo) and motorcade running up and down the street that was blocked off to cars.  We just walked right along.  We did pass a sign that said they were filming for Showtime and if you walked past you are giving permission to possibly be in the background.
