Simon finished up his T-Ball season and loved it!
Batter Up!
4th of July in Yakima
Camping with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Pat
Then in August we went on a vacation to Silverwood Amusement Park and Boulder Beach Water Park in Idaho and then on to Yellowstone National Park.
Paige and Grandma sat this ride out and put quarters in a machine and got us soaked! Even Nixon went on this one and loved it.
They had this place you could buy balls and then shoot them at tanks or pay to go into the tanks and shoot water at the people. So Tim and I went in the tank (like an army tank but floating) and shot water at Grandma and Grandpa and the kids. They shot us with balls. I think this was one of the funnest things the kids liked.
I love this picture Grandpa took. They are looking through a hole in a rock.
We did the dry rides the first day and then water the next day here we are in one of the wave pools.
Paige made a nice seat for herself in our cabana with her towel and inter-tube.
Then on to Yellowstone
Old Faithful
We saw probably over 400 Bison/Buffalo while we were there!
Looking at a geyser
We found some interesting big bears on our outings. My cowboy Simon is keeping these two in control with his cork gun.
Paige and I came across the worlds largest teddy bear.
This is in the town of West Yellowstone. Aren't they a cute bunch!
West Yellowstone has painted buffalo all around town and leave it to Paige to find the one painted with horses!
We had a great time there the kids loved seeing all the animals with their binoculars which we quickly made sure each kid had their own pair after the first day. They gave the kids check off sheets so they could mark off what animals they found. Nixon loved all the geysers. We saw all kinds of wild animals including a real bear unlike the two pictures up above. It really is a beautiful place unlike anywhere else.
The Jolley's came for a night.
First Day of school
Simon in his 1st grade class.
Paige in her 4th grade class (can you tell she didn't want me to take her picture?)
Our niece Emma started Kindergarten so all the kiddos lined up for a picture outside her class. She has the same teacher Simon did last year so it's nice to still get to be in contact with her through Emma being in her class. Simon and Emma play together on recess when they can find each other. The two little boys will be there in a couple years! Gosh they all grow up too fast!
Oh and I almost forgot the biggest news of all..... Nixon is totally potty trained. All at once day and night! No pull ups no diapers no nothing but undies. We decided that when brother and sissy go to school the first day that he would put undies on and that was it.
Thanks for catching up on us hope your beginning of the school year is going great and if you don't have kiddos going to school hope your fall is starting off wonderful!
