Team Crothers: Pre- Christmas 2011

I figured I better do a Pre-Christmas post since I am sure I will have lots of pictures on my Christmas post.

We have had some fun times. We haven't gotten to do as much as we normally would. Simon has had a rough few weeks he ended up with strep throat but the first time tested negative so we went a few more weeks thinking it was a virus and then took him back in and he tested positive. Nixon also got it. We did take a quick walk around downtown Seattle when Tim's work had their Christmas party downtown. Not our norm of making a day of it but took a peek at some of the stuff we like best! We were supposed to spend 5 days in Leavenworth with Tim's parents and brother and family but between Steve having to work the first day, us fighting strep throat, Steve and Nolan getting the stomach flu and then Tim's work schedule changing and we had to go home 3 days early we ended up all only being there together for about 5 hours. But we made it count! The kids went sledding and exchanged gifts and we went to dinner. We stayed the first 2 nights with Mom and Larry and then Steve and Jaime are with them for the last 3 so at least we didn't leave them alone for any of the time.

This was actually my Birthday. I got to spend some time at Starbucks with My Mom, Step Mom and Mother in law. It was so nice. I really enjoyed it.

This was also my birthday. I got to spend it with my Mom and my Dad. Gee I guess I get my height from my Mom huh? :-)

Picking out our perfect tree for this year! Thank you Mclendon's you have given us 5 wonderful trees!

It was fun this year all 3 kids did most of the decorations!

Simon actually did it the whole time this year. Usually he does a few and then lets Paige finish up but he stayed in it for the long haul this time!

We actually made a gingerbread house this year!

Paige baked her first loaf of bread in the bread machine. She did great and was very excited and it tasted sooo good. She picked a french bread.

Santa came to Tim's work Christmas Party! It was neat and Nixon was really surprised and excited.

After the party we went to look at the Macy's Christmas Train window. One of our favorites.

Then we went in and mailed letters to Santa!

Our other favorite it the amazing gingerbread houses at the Sheraton. This years theme was train stations. This one had little minions in it from the movie Despicable Me.

We got in some fun sledding behind the place we stayed in Leavenworth.

I caught some good air! I learned as an adult if you push your arms straight so you are a bit lifted out of the sled when you hit it hurts a lot less! LOL
