This is a tough post to make. 

Grandpa Larry passed away in July. 

We flew out there as soon as we could and got there a few days before the funeral. Simon and Paige came for 10 days but Nixon had just started a new job and couldn't get the time off. Tim and I stayed back through the end of September to help Tim's mom. His brother Mike was also able to stay with her for 6 weeks.  He got there 2 weeks before us. We had it overlapped so she wasn't alone for the first 2.5 months and we didn't all leave at the same time. We are so incredibly thankful that Larry was able to make it out here for Tim's retirement and that we just had that wonderful visit with him. 

We love you and miss you Grandpa Larry.

It was a beautiful service followed by a celebration of life. Simon got up and spoke at the service which was very heartfelt, sweet, and thoughtful of him to do.
