Tim's Retirement 2024

Tim's 30 Year Retirement from The United States Coast Guard

Tim joined the Coast Guard in April of 1994 and his last day at work was March 2024. His official first day of retirement will be July 1 but he had enough leave (time off) saved up to be done working in March. Awesome job Tim!  We are so proud of you, job well done Master Chief! I still can't believe it's been 30 years since we started this adventure.  Now onto the next 30 years!

Who would have thought 30 years ago we would be standing here at Coast Guard Headquarters for your retirement and you a Master Chief?

We love you Tim and there are not enough words to say how proud of you we are and thankful for all that you have done, sacrificed, and provided for us.

We are so thankful Tim's Mom and stepdad Larry and Angela's Dad were able to come out.

Let the ceremony begin!

They brought the kids up and thanked them for all their sacrifices and service and gave them each an award. It was all I could do not to sit there crying.

They also brought me up for a couple awards.

They presented him with a flag that will go in his shadow box that was sent to and flown over each of his previous units. All the ones that still exist that is. After a 30 year career there are a few units that are no longer around.

Tim gave a wonderful speech!

Mike Watson, one of his coworkers on his last team, made this amazing cake for his retirement.  He listed all his units around the outer edge. The cake was probably the best cake we have ever had!

Family picture!  Thank you Joe, Mom and Larry and Tim's brother Mike for coming out for our big day!

Celebratory dinner at the Alpine Chef! A German restaurant we like in Fredericksburg.

Let retirement begin!

And just like that 30 wonderful years in the Coast Guard done!
