A Destructive Winter Wonderland
We had a crazy snowstorm Jan 3rd, right as everyone was traveling home from the holidays. We were without power for about 12 hours, but some around here were without power for 6 days! If you were watching the national news, it was the huge debacle where Interstate 95 shut down for 18 hours, and people were stuck in their cars overnight. That was here right at our exit. Good samaritans hiked food and supplies to the people stuck in their cars. Those who could walk to hotels did but most were completely full since those who lost power in their homes were also going to the hotels. It was a big mess and many many trees down, roads closed, and damaged homes and powerlines. It looked like a war zone in some areas. We had big limbs down but thankfully nothing damaging to us and the boys took care of it.
| Not normal to get this much snow at once here. |
| When you know you will be without power for a while and can't get bags of ice but you have lots of snow LOL. Stick it in a bunch of bowls to keep your fridge cold!! It worked! |
